November is Native American Heritage in the USA. There were or are hundreds of tribes all across America. But US history textbooks don't mention many of the names. My search led me to a List that provides the names of Native American tribes from A to Z. The list is amazing. As an example, there are 16 tribes with names that start with the letter “W”.
Wabanaki ; Waccamaw ; Waco ; Wailaki ; Walapai ; Walla Walla ; Wampanoag ; Wappinger ; Washoe ; Watlala ; Wea ; Wenatchee ; Wichita; Winnebago ; Wiyot ; Wyandot/Huron November is #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth. There were/are many tribes across the USA but #Americanhistory rarely mentions them. #DidYouKnow there are 16 tribes w/ names that begin w/ #LetterW ~ "List of Native American Tribes From A to Z". https://t.co/qkrfGX7kx9 @legendsamerica pic.twitter.com/hfVuCIXAfa— Treathyl Fox (aka cmoneyspinner) ~ #Freelancer (@cmoneyspinner) November 4, 2019
