When did slavery begin? We know it did not originate in America because its practice was commonplace during biblical times. The Old Testament scriptures weave intricate details into the accounts of daily lives. But the Bible can NOT be used or rather misquoted to justify slavery. The Bible simply points out very objectively that human bondage existed and that it was not God's idea!
