Thoughts About Euthanasia, Abortions, and Botched Executions

Kenny Minker published an article via Medium.com titled "The Global Shift Toward Legalizing Euthanasia Is Moving Fast". It is an excellent read. After reading, I left a few comments.  My thoughts shared at the article are also published below.  I would like my comments to be seen by my JDV blog visitors, who don't visit the Medium platform.

I've always been curious about euthanasia.

I have heard stories about abortion clinics. Sometimes when the fetus is surgically removed from the womb, it is late enough in the pregnancy that the little baby human has a heartbeat and lungs. In other words, the baby removed from the womb is ALIVE! The babies even cry. In those cases, they place the living babies in a dark room and let them LITERALLY … CRY THEMSELVES TO DEATH!!

Some might think that's not murder. Some might say it's a type of euthanasia, a mercy killing. After all, the baby wasn't wanted in this world anyway! So what if they survived a violent abortion? You know? SO WHAT!!

So suppose when administering euthanasia for a full-grown person ~ a senior citizen, a middle-aged adult, a young adult, a teenager, or a person of any age, old enough to be living outside of the womb. Suppose after whatever it is that the doctor does to put the patient to death … THEY DON'T DIE!!

What should be done? Take a sledgehammer and bash the person's head in. Take a sharp blade and chop off the person's head. Throw them off the top of a skyscraper.

DID YOU KNOW? Prisoners on death row have survived lethal injections or other forms of botched executions.

DID YOU KNOW? If the death row prisoners survived their execution, do you know that there are people who would argue that the law should not allow another attempt to execute. Because it would be “cruel and unusual punishment”.

What would be the law of a person SURVIVED A MERCY KILLING?

Yeah yeah yeah … there were official bona-fide health records with doctors and nurses certifying up and down that that patient was never going to make it! They were going to dwindle and wither away in great pain and agony. We all know records kept by human beings can never be falsified. Right?

We all know that family members would never contemplate getting rid of another family member because taking care of them is not only expensive, but burdensome and inconvenient. Family will always show mercy when it's their family. Right?

* Have you ever thought that some deaths that have occurred by way of LEGAL euthanasia were NOT actually and genuinely for the sake of showing mercy to the poor suffering individual?

Have you ever wondered about how many people would “conveniently” die from legalized “mercy killings” if euthanasia were legal all around the world?

If doctors really had the power over life and death, why is it they usually tell families and loved ones: “I've done all that I can do. Now we just have to wait.” OR "I've done all that I can do. But I couldn't save them."

Death with dignity? Uh huh.

Euthanasia is really just Murder dressed up to look like an act of mercy.

Life and death are acts of God.

Do You Know What a DNR Is and How to Enforce It? (or Easy Ways to Commit Murder)

Do you think that evil people are always trying to devise ways to commit wrongdoing without being punished for it?  I DO!  I have a real problem with people who think life and death are in their hands. Life and death is only within God's power.

I KNOW (WE ALL KNOW) there are many evil people in this world who only refrain from committing murder because they don't want to be in jail. The Bible says people CHOOSE to refrain from committing evil. WHY?  Not because it's right, but because they don't want to suffer the punishment for doing wrong. So!  Don't you think that if there was a “legal” way to commit murder, they'd be all over it!  People can be really creative when they want to eliminate an “inconvenient” population.  Life ~ your life, my life, our life ~ is not a game for others to play with!

I read in an article that there is a push to legalize euthanasia on a global scale. Oh my!  So anybody in the whole wide world can commit murder?

After reading the article about the push for euthanasia, I stumbled upon a post on social media about another easy way to commit murder via “DNR”. That means “Do Not Resuscitate”. Evidently, you can sign a “legal” form that will authorize people to let you die rather than attempt to do CPR, etc.

Several people were in favor of and willing to push for the DNR justifying it by saying it's their wish, etc.  When I read the post about DNR, these thoughts popped into my head:

Why does nobody ever realize that such "legalities" are just giving someone else a Get out of Jail Free card?

Hhmmm?? This would make a great script for a movie or TV show. "EZ way to get away with murder." Reminds me of the movie "Coma". People conveniently went into a coma and never came out. The people didn't authorize the doctors to put them into a coma.

    • So! Let's just hypothesize. WHAT IF the person did not write or authorize their DNR?
How do you prove it? How do you know a family or friend isn't just trying to conveniently get rid of them?
  • It's easy to falsify all kinds of documents. People use fake IDs. Business records get used to cover up dirty money. I'm just saying. Why not fabricate a DNR? It's probably easy to do.
Since a dead person can't talk, somebody who is living needs to ask these questions. I will repeat myself. There are many evil people in this world who would jump at the chance to easily eliminate somebody who has become an "inconvenience" to them.

As the world continues to turn, I just found out that in California, there is a LAW called End of Life Options Act (EOLA). WOW! Another easy way to commit murder. The "E" in EOLA stands for euthanasia.  There is just no limit to an evil person's imagination, is there?

In EOLA, there is no "legal requirement" for the patient to notify family members or others about their decision to use the Act. However, it’s often encouraged to discuss the decision with loved ones.  Yeah but ... since there is no "legal requirement", if they did "discuss the decision to use the Act" with someone, what's to stop that person from devising a way to get rid of their "loved ones".  There is no legal requirement to keep a record of the fact that there was ever even a discussion, that gave the evil person the idea of how to get rid of them!  Just saying.

By the way, California is NOT the only US state that has a law like this.  And there are all kinds of euphemisms for "murder".  "End of Life Option". "Death with Dignity".  "Mercy Killing".  "Assisted Suicide". "Dr. Kevorkian is My Friend".

What do assisted dying, assisted suicide and euthanasia mean and what is the law?

Yes I know, I have a devious mind and think of crazy stuff all the time. But am I the only one who has these kinds of thoughts?

Only One Day Left : What's your Final Answer?

This is a common question asked to provoke thought and/or make people appreciate their lives more.

Fill in the blank:
**If I had one day left to live, I would _______.**

This what my blank would filled in with:

Ask the Almighty God, my Creator, to give me the same treatment that Enoch and Elijah received.

Skip DEATH and go straight to HEAVEN.

- Enoch was “translated” - Genesis 5:24 and Hebrews 11: 5 – 6
- Elijah was carried away in a whirlwind – 2 Kings 2: 1 – 11

They never have any moves like this in Monopoly!

You're So Old! Must Be Time for You to Die.

When I was a child I heard a man utter what he said was an old Irish proverb. "You begin to die the moment you're born."  While there is truth in that proverb it seems morbid to view the precious gift of life in that manner.  Don't you think so?

There are so many interesting weird and strange questions people ask when it comes to life and death. Questions that I would never think to ask. Here's an example.

Considering that death does not discriminate. Considering that the good die young, the unborn die, and anyone who is living knows that one day they will die … why would you ask that question? As if death and old age are inextricably connected and when you reach a certain age YOU NEED TO DECIDE that's it's time to die.

Amanda Jones was 109 when she voted in the presidential election that resulted in Barack Obama becoming POTUS (President of the United States). Imagine if when she reached age 108 that she decided it was time for her to die. She died one year later, after the election, at the age of 110.

Amanda Jones' life touched three centuries, during which she worked as a maid and a stay-at-home mother of 10 with deep religious faith, Baker said. Jones had voted actively for more than 70 years, even when it meant picking cotton to save money to pay a poll tax. ~ Source

Reports of her death indicate that Ms. Jones passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Barbara Ehrenreich, is a woman who holds a PhD in cellular immunology and who decided when she was in her 70s that she was old enough to die. She was interviewed by Lucy Rock and the article was published in The Guardian. As of the date of this short post, she is still alive. Ms. Ehrenreich thinks that "there’s an age at which death no longer requires much explanation". Based on her research, she advises not to bother visiting doctors who recommend medical tests, treatments or preventative medicine, etc. as if they can do anything that will prolong your life. My understanding of what Doctor Ehrenreich is advising that it is likely that many doctors are just making merchandise out of you.

I do have to say that I agree with her about her research leading her to the conclusion that the US health and wellness industry generates billions of dollars. I have always thought and said "Healthcare is Big Business."

But I should also say that Ms. Ehrenreich was diagnosed with breast cancer. Some may feel it's a material or relevant fact and not to mention it would be a significant omission.

At first, I thought the question was odd ~ "When do you know you're old enough to die?" ~ but in the end, after reading the interview where she expressed her thoughts and views, I agree with her advice.

Do you agree with Ms. Ehrenreich?
