JAHQAAUFO (Just Another Humorous Quip About Aliens and UFOs)

Aliens and UFOs, now called UAPs, are a very hot topic among "We the People".  It's so serious, the US military and key officials in the government are still concocting bogus stories about them.

  • UFOs: Are They That Serious?. By Helen McCaw and David Broadwell  | Medium

Sharing a link above to an interesting and information article above, with my humorous opinionated comments shared below.

  • UPDATE: Author decided to unpublish the article.  My remarks are stand alone though.  Please continue reading.  Thank you.

UFO

LOL. People need to realize that “governments” of almost all of the countries LIKE TO PLAY GAMES! They work on Top Secret projects that they can't openly talk about it. WHY? Usually it's because they don't want The Enemy to know. Sometimes, it's because they don't want the citizens to know. It might cause OUTRAGE!! Because sometimes citizens are like parents. They just don't understand.

However, seeing that we all live on the same planet, there is always a possibility someone might accidentally, unintentionally, stumble upon a TSP (Top Secret project). If and when they do, there has to be a “story” that must be FED by the Government to the GP (general public).

UFO … UAP … mentions or sightings equal BOGUS STORIES that sound kind of believable. Those stories serve a purpose. The purpose being to take your mind off of the real top secret project and get you talking and speculating about something that does not exist. Why do you think nobody has ever presented concrete evidence or proof of aliens? Because there is none!

Here's the reality. The people who work on those projects sign a Confidentiality Agreement. That means they're sworn to secrecy. If they try to break the agreement and tell somebody? The Government has “ways of dealing with people like that”. What? Will they kill you? Oh no! They'll just make you look like a blithering idiot and an individual who lacks credibility. We know NOW that Galileo was not crazy! I'm sure they knew it back then during his time. But they still put him away!

Am I saying the UFOs or UAPs are not real? Not at all. I'm saying they are real. And … if they don't belong to US, then they belong to The Enemy. If they belong to US, we have our reasons for not wanting the public to know. If they belong to The Enemy, we obviously don't want them to know that we know!!

Admit it. My logic is flawless. LOL. ☺

** For the record, "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (the original with Michael Rennie (1951); not the remake with Keanu Reeves (2008)), will always be my favorite movie about aliens and UFOs.

Thoughts About Russia as The Enemy and the Possibility of World War 3 (An American's Perspective)

Another excellent read. Prateek Dasgupta published an article via Medium.com titled "Why Asia and Africa Will Ensure That There Is No World War III". After reading I left a few comments. My thoughts shared at the article are also published below. I would like to share my comments with my JDV blog visitors, who don't visit the Medium platform.  Article excerpt that I highlighted:

“There will be no World War without two of the world’s largest continents.”

map of Russia

My Comments:

Yes we know Russia is not seen as The Enemy by Asia or Africa.

But there's still Australia, South America, Europe, and North America.

These are AI-generated answers. (The parenthetical notes are my interpretation.)

AUSTRALIA: “While Russia and Australia are not outright enemies, their relationship is characterized by significant tension and limited cooperation, especially in the current geopolitical climate.” (That means, we don't really want to fight. So don't piss us off! If war breaks out we don't have to take your side, you know?)

SOUTH AMERICA: “Russia is not considered an outright enemy by South American countries, but rather a strategic partner for some and a geopolitical player for others. The relationship is characterized by a mix of cooperation in certain areas and competition with U.S. influence in the region.” (That means it's all about our economy and who can offer better financial opportunity and growth.)

EUROPE: “In the current geopolitical climate, Russia is largely viewed as an adversary by most European nations.” (Can you spell enemy? Yes. R-U-S-S-I-A.)

NORTH AMERICA: “Overall, Russia is viewed more as an adversary than an ally by both the United States and Canada. The relationship is characterized by significant tension and competition, but there are still areas where cooperation is possible and necessary.” (Can you spell enemy? Yes. R-U-S-S-I-A. But you know … it don't gotta be that way. But y'all keep pushing in that direction! It's NOT US!! It's YOU! Clearly … it's YOU!!)

My additional thoughts?

The Bible says “The ways of the nations are in the Hands of God.” Frankly, I just believe it's God's way of keeping a “balance of power” between all nations. That way none of the nations will get too cocky and try to rule the world. Cause we all know what happened when crazy conceited clowns decided they wanted to build their EMPIRES. Hopefully, we learn lessons from history.

P.S. “Casualties of war” have always been unimportant no matter who is fighting who. That's why they came up with the phrase “casualties of war”. It's a euphemism for: “YEAH A BUNCH OF INNOCENT PEOPLE WILL BE KILLED. BUT SO WHAT! IT'S WAR!!” Then they point fingers of blame and say: “They started it!”

WAR!  What is it good for?

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

SAY IT AGAIN!!

NO MORE WORLD WARS? Let's hope not.

Most people are hoping that nuclear weapons will keep everybody in check. So far we only know of nine (9) countries currently have nuclear weapons: Russia, United States, China, France, United Kingdom, Pakistan, India, Israel, and North Korea. No countries in Australia or South America? Who knows? Maybe they have them, but it's a secret!

American History: Really Cool History About American Presidents

In my lifetime, I have lived through the administrations of presidents of the United States from Eisenhower to Obama. They left their “footprints” in America's historical records for future generations of citizens. Let's hope the country is still standing for those generations.

From my childhood to the present date, I can remember the following presidents of the United States:
  • Dwight Eisenhower (1953 – 1961)
  • John F. Kennedy (1961 – Nov 22, 1963)
  • Lyndon Johnson (1963 – 1969)
  • Richard Nixon (1969 – 1974)
  • Gerald Ford (1974 – 1977)
  • Jimmy Carter (1977 – 1981)
  • Ronald Reagan (1981 – 1989)
  • George Bush Sr. (1989 – 1993)
  • William J. Clinton (1993 – 2001)
  • George Bush Jr. (2001 – 2009)
  • Barack Obama (2009 – 2017)
Donald Trump (2017 – 2021 )
  • Joe Biden (2021 - 2024)

At the time of this writing, it is March 2020*. We are in the midst of the presidential campaign process. Somebody has to be nominated as the Democratic candidate. That person will run for the highest office in this country and whoever he or she is, they hope “We the People” will vote for them and unseat our current Republican president, Donald Trump. Whenever this time in American history comes around, i.e. the political process of choosing a new fearless leader, I am always thankful.
  • I’m thankful Americans have the right to VOTE.
  • I’m thankful our POTUS is not a despicable king or queen who can’t be dethroned or worse a ruthless dictator who nobody can get rid of.
  • I’m thankful the U.S. Constitution limits the president’s term in office to 4 years and that the president can only serve for 2 terms.
  • I’m thankful I have survived all of the presidents as far back as I can remember and that our country is still standing.
  • I’m thankful that I’m living and American.
I found some really cool tweets that reflect interesting moments in time. The history covered in tweets is during the timeline from Eisenhower to Johnson. When Nixon took office I was attending university and I became discouraged, dissatisfied, and disinterested in American politics. I’ve never really quite regained my enthusiasm and interest. But I didn’t bury my head in the sand either. America is still the land that I love. God Bless America.

Cool Tweets About American Presidents

Tuesday,
November 3
Election Day (US) 2020 in United States

To ALL Americans who VOTE (and those who don't):

Remember this country's history.  Recall the aspirations and ideals of our Founding Fathers.  Remember those who shed blood for this land.  Not just those who fought as soldiers in the military, but including the original natives and those who were slaves.  America exists because of their sweat, blood, and tears.

Understand this.  You can not rely solely on a leader to make America a great nation.  Building this country is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.  The leader you choose does not carry this weight on his or her shoulders all alone.  The leader is an ordinary citizen, just like you and me, who should be humbled and honored to SERVE "We the People".  The elected leader should respect the oath of office and approach the duties of the office of the presidency with gravity and sincerity and a genuine heart FOR THE COUNTRY AND FOR THE PEOPLE.

Know this.  A country is nothing without dutiful, loyal, patriotic citizens who love their country, live peacefully in their country, and work TOGETHER to build their country.

Think about this when you vote.
Think about this even if you don't vote.

Are You Ready to Trust Dr. AI? (My Answer to This Question)

Kshitija(KJ) Gupte published an article via Medium.com titled "Are we ready to put our health in the hands of Dr. AI?". It is an excellent read. After reading I left a few comments.  When it comes to the use of AI by members of the healthcare profession, almost everybody has thoughts about this topic.  My thoughts shared at the article are also published below.  I would like my comments with my JDV blog visitors, who don't visit the Medium platform.

AI-generated Image by Abd Karim Alias from Pixabay

I don't have any problem with
"Dr. AI". The technology is not the problem. The misuse and abuse of technology is the problem.

And who can misuse and abuse technology? HUMANS!

So it all boils down to whether or not people in the healthcare profession have ethics and morals, mercy and compassion ... i.e. humanity.

Because all the technology in the world can't replace the mind of a person who is dishonest and has no integrity. Whether they use AI or not, you're putting your health in their hands.

The thing is ... you can't always spot a doctor who is disguised as “Dr. Death”, who is misdiagnosing you intentionally, to make merchandise out of you.

Several years ago, I lived in a US city where there was an article in the newspaper about doctors who were deliberately misdiagnosing patients, making them sicker, and then re-diagnosing them (after their condition had worsened) so that they could continue to treat them for a longer period of time. Why cure your patient on their first visit, when you can keep them coming back over and over again? Disgusting isn't it? Sad, but true.

Artificial intelligence is just a tool to be used in conjunction with human intelligence.

But nobody has figured out how to program the intelligence of a person to be a DECENT HUMAN BEING!!

Racism in the 21st Century. Uuhh ... WHY??

My response to an interesting article published on Medium.com titled:  A Black British Man Claimed His Accent Helps Him Avoid Racism | by Kennardo James | AfroSapiophile for whatever reason, the writer chose to unpublish this content.  But my comments which were not erased when the article was unpublished were saved and are republished below.  I feel firmly about this matter.

NOTE:  Even thuogh the author unpublished his article, he still distributes a Medium publication. Check out the author's Medium publication linked to below.

This not a surprise to me. I was born and raised in America and I love to connect with people when I hear a European or Caribbean accent. I'm not being racist, but Asian accents are a bit harsh to my ear. It's just "the sound". (Although I can watch Korean dramas for hours and hours. ☺ )

My dad and husband both were from The Bahamas. Even from a kid, I noticed people loved to hear my dad speak. When my husband would call me at work, people would remark about how nice his voice sounded. One woman described it as: “very refined, genteel and elegant”.

I was like “WOW! Really?” She got all that just from hearing him ask to speak to me?? LOL. For me, it didn't matter “the color” of the person. When I heard an accent, I immediately became curious and wanted to know more about them.

My final note for this article however is:
It's the 21st century and people still have to avoid racism? WHY does it still even exist? This article is a sad commentary about humanity.

Do Souls Exists? (My Answer to the Question)

As a member of the Medium.com writing community (view my writer's profile), not only do I enjoy writing content but I also enjoy reading and commenting on the articles of my fellow writers.

Aurum Archon published an article titled "Do Souls Exist?". It is an excellent read and he shares many informational links in his article for further exploration. After reading I wanted to leave a few comments.  On Medium, responses to comments appear on your profile but they are not counted in your list of stories.  I often re-share my comments with readers who visit my blog.  When it comes to the question of the existence of souls, almost everybody has thoughts about this topic.  The comments below are my thoughts.

souls

"Only two things in life are certain: death and taxes." LOL.

Some people say they don't believe in God or a Higher Being. But they believe in science, i.e. something that can be proven. God can not be proven therefore God is not real. To me, that's kind of a humorous way of thinking or analyzing because most scientists supposedly make great that are discoveries that are even named after them.

However, what they discovered was already there. The scientists never explain WHO put it there or how it came to be. The so-called great scientific discoveries are often “accidental”. It makes me wonder if God or the Higher Being has watched from a distance as they diligently searched for answers and explanations and had pity. And God said: “If I don't show them how this or that works, they're never gonna figure it out for themselves.”

That being said, I remember a man who wanted desperately to scientifically prove the existence of the soul. He had a dying man hooked up to a machine that would measure the change in the person's body immediately after their death. He would conclude that any change recorded by the machine “might be” PROOF the soul existed.

As it so happened immediately after the person died the machine did record a change, but it was so small, so tiny, that it was practically “un-measurable”. Nevertheless, the person performing insisted that it “might” have proved the existence of the soul. Of course, there would be others in the scientific circles who disagree with his conclusion, So now other scientists can debate whether the experiment really proved the soul's existence and the debates can carry on back and forth until Jesus comes. LOL.

I very much enjoyed this article and appreciate the links you shared for further reading.

Practical Advice: Life Choices You Won’t Regret

In my life there have been many choices I made and I have absolutely no regrets. What about you?

We are going into another new year and despite the fact that this year has been OVERLOADED with difficulties and sadness … the world keeps turning! And unless you have figured out a way to stop the world so you can get off … you’re going to keep carrying on.

I found an interesting article by a guy named Thomas Oppong. He’s kind of like a motivational speaker type and gives people advice to help them Stay Calm and Carry On. He wrote an article titled You Will Regret These Choices in 10 Years and … honestly? If I made those choices I would regret them the next day! It wouldn’t take me 10 years. I’m a quick learner.

According to Mr. Oppong, these are the choices you will regret.

1) Waiting for a Perfect Time

2) Waiting to Be Picked

3) Living Someone Else’s Dream

4) Failing to Try

5) Giving Up Too Soon!

There are 2 quotes I extracted that I really like. I collect quotes and share them.

“Try and fail, but don’t fail to try.” ~ John Quincy Adams

“You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.” ~ Wayne Gretzky

* * *

I have lived and made it past the half century mark (50 years). The minister at my church say: “No matter what anybody tells you, when you go past 50 your life is HALF OVER!” How’s that for realistic thinking?

It’s true your life is half over but you are still living and that means each day you wake up … it’s a brand new day. Who knows what you will accomplish … IF YOU TRY!

I won’t have regrets about making the choices this guy listed because they are not choices I would ever make in the first place.

1) Waiting for a Perfect Time ~ Hello! What is a “perfect time”? Yes. Timing is important. Some people say “Timing is everything”. But I don’t think it’s EVERYTHING! Rather, I agree with Bruce Lee’s philosophy. He said “If you love life, don’t waste time, because time is what life is made of.” If I approach my daily life with that kind of attitude there’s no way I’m going to … wait for it! Wait for what? Once the time is gone, I’m not going to get it back!

2) Waiting to Be Picked ~ Uuuhh? Who’s doing the picking? The only time I’m waiting to be picked is when I will be standing in line waiting to be called to enter in through the gates of heaven. LOL.

3) Living Someone Else’s Dream ~ How do you even know someone else’s dream? If you have overbearing dominating parents who insist on making you live their dream, then I can see where this might be a problem for a child. Fortunately, my parents never tried to force me to live up their “dream”. They did do their best to try to make sure that I would be able to pursue my dream.

4) Failing to Try ~ Look at this way. From the time you begin to know yourself, practically everything you do in your life, you have to try to do it first. You have to try to crawl. You have to try to walk. You have to try to eat with a spoon. So what’s the big deal with TRYING? Surely you’re not going to use that lame excuse about being afraid of failure. Are you?

5) Giving Up Too Soon! ~ I love Kenny Rogers. He’s a popular American singer/songwriter and one of the souls we lost during 2020, before they announced the pandemic. {Kenneth Ray Rogers (August 21, 1938 — March 20, 2020)} One of my favorite songs that he used to sing was called “The Gambler”. I like that song because of these specific lyrics:

You’ve got to know when to hold ‘em.
Know when to fold ‘em.
Know when to walk away.
And know when to run! …

… the secret to survivin’
Is knowin’ what to throw away
And knowin’ what to keep …

That’s life! It may take some experience and some seasoning. But you need to learn that in most situations in this life … it often boil down to 2 choices. You either hang in there OR recognize when it’s time to give it up.

If you learn this … nine times out of ten, you’ll have a wonderful life. I won’t say that you’ll live a life with absolutely no regrets. But you won’t have any regrets because you made these particular choices, because you didn’t make them.

My Medium Publications ~ The Year 2022 in Review

I began publishing content on Medium.com back in 2014, initially because this platform accepted republished content. But as my following grew I began to publish both original and republished content; and also created Medium publications. The publications give your content more exposure and are ret to meeting and collaborating with fellow writers. To day I am publishing 3 different publications: one fore general discussion topics, one for foodies, and one for sageuk lovers. (Sageuk movies and TV series are Korean historical period dramas.) Below are the links to articles that recap activity for the year 2022.

Express Yourself! ~ Most Viewed Articles at the End of 2022

There are 10 articles listed. My favorite article on this list is the one about King David and Bathsheba.

My Foodie Luv ~ Top 5 Stories for the Year 2022

A varied selection of topics: fruits, cakes, world cuisine/food history, and cooking terms explained for newbies in the kitchen.

My Sageuk Addiction ~ Top 10 Stories for 2022

I am very much enjoying streaming historical period Korean dramas. Viki, Netflix, Tubi, and YouTube have quite a slection to choose from. One tip if you plan to watch K-dramas: make sure that all of the episodes are available. It is so frustrating to get wrapped up in a series only to realize that you may have to wait several weeks until all of the episodes have been uploaded and are fully translated with English subtitles.

FINAL NOTE:

If you are also a Medium contributor OR you plan to become one and you are interested in sharing your content via my Medium publications, simply comment at this post OR at one of the Medium articles OR contact me via Twitter (@cmoneyspinner).

That’s it for 2022. It’s 2023. Wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

Does Jack Have Plans to Chop Down the Twitter Beanstalk? (An Opinion Piece)

The same day Elon Musk became the new owner of Twitter, it was announced that Jack Dorsey was developing a social app called Bluesky. What’s going on?

As expected, wherever tech news is published for the inquiring minds, one will find a mountain of speculation and also some facts about whether or not there is a war going on between the “giants” in the industry. Since October 28, 2022, there has been a lot of buzz circulating about Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey. Or is it … Elon Musk VERSUS Jack Dorsey???

Some think these two are NOT competitors but rather collaborators. I don’t know what these two guys are thinking, but I am inclined to agree with the gentleman who wrote article shared below. I doubt that there is a battle going in the land of the tech giants, which will end with one toppling the other. Oh, come on! This is American business. What profit or public good would be gained from doing that?

HERE IS WHAT I THINK:

Dorsey and Musk are collaborating? So??? They are not “enemies”, they’re really “frenemies”? Uh huh. Sounds plausible.

Not surprised. It’s very likely a lot of that buzz about the alleged battle of the tech giants is unverified. No doubt it’s more like “gossip of endless possibilities” spread in panic mode. LOL.

Since I don’t know either of the guys personally, I can only base my likes and dislikes on their public persona. Based on that, I like Jack. I don’t like Elon.

That being said, I could care less whether they are competing or not competing. I want whatever is in IT for me! LOL. I am perfectly content to use both platforms whether they compete or not.

GOOGLE PLUS: I remember Google Plus. It was supposed to replace Facebook. I was invited to participate in the testing and when it went live, I used the same account that had been used in testing. I happily used both Facebook and Google Plus together. But alas! G+ went Bye Bye for consumers.

TUMBLR: And what about Tumblr? I have been a loyal user since the days of David Karp. Tumblr has changed ownership many times. But no matter to me. I just go with the flow.

TWITTER vs BLUESKY: I have been a loyal Twitter user for years. Even so, I sent my eMail in so that I could participate in Bluesky social app testing. If it goes live, I see no reason to leave Twitter and switch to Bluesky. Not me! I would be active on both platforms as long as they will have me.

The only thing that would stop me from using Twitter, Bluesky, Facebook, Tumbr, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc., is if I wake up one morning and there is a page that says: “This platform has been shut down.”

I mean … what can I do about that? It was an executive decision made without asking me! They never invite me to those meetings. LOL.

I have been on the social media train for over 10 years. The only decision I can make is … I’m not getting OFF!

Thanks for reading.

It's 2022 and Iranian Women Have Started a Revolution (NOT!) (An Opinion Piece)

Negin Shiraghaei is a Iranian-British entrepreneur, activist, and a former news anchor at BBC. She published an article titled Are Iranian women defining the point of no return?  The article presents her point of view and at the end of the article she provides a link who might be interested in helping this protest and cause.

"When women collectively fight for their rights and teach their children to do the same, change becomes inevitable."

This woman has impressive credentials and her beliefs and points of view are very clearly expressed in this article.  However ...

I respectfully disagree.

It's not a big deal for women to cover their hair. I went to Catholic school. The nuns always covered their hair.
But when you get KILLED for not covering your hair?? Surely, one must know that this is not about “hair coverings”. It's about DOMINATION and OPPRESSION … POWER and CONTROL. And there are men who call their law enforcement “MORAL”? It's a yoke of oppression based on RELIGION.

Right at the moment, there are women protesting in the streets of Iran, but it will come to naught. WHY? Because as long as there is such thing as “morality police”, they get to call the shots. International public opinion does NOT sway them. They answer to Allah. Can you dig it?

If an Iranian woman wants freedom to live her life and be herself, she needs to LEAVE IRAN. She can stay there and cut off her hair. She can fight and die! But it makes no sense to beat your head up against a brick wall.

A female revolution in Iran? Be realistic. Women in so-called free countries are still hollering about gender inequality.

Christiane Amanpour is a journalist from Iran. Yes. She did refuse to cover her hair when she was going to interview a top Iranian official. But she left Iran a long time ago, when she saw “the changes” coming; and she has no plans to ever go back! That's an UNDENIABLE FACT.

You may want to believe that Iran is at a turning point in its modern history. However, it's not even close to a turning point!

Countries with brutal regimes that disregard the human rights of its citizens NEED TO BE OVERTHROWN!

Read the history books.

  • Some countries end up getting divided like North and South Korea. The South Koreans believe in freedom and independence. The North Koreans are ruled by a ruthless dictator who likes to play with nuclear weapons and even kills his own relatives.
  • Some countries or peoples don't even exist any more, like the Aztecs and the Mayans. Remember them? The “great civilizations” that performed human sacrifices. Somebody needed to stop them!

The only way countries like Iran change is IF they get invaded and occupied by another country with a completely different ideology regarding freedom and human rights.and that country takes over!

No country on this planet is PERFECT. But some countries treat their citizens better than others. Iran is not one of those countries where you stay and fight. YOU RUN!! If you want to live.

With Politics You Can Compromise, With Religion There is No Compromise

My friend, Barbara Radisavljevic, publishes many thought-provoking articles on Medium.com and her article "The Blind, the Elephant, and the Truth" provoked these thoughts. I approached the matter from my understanding as a believer in Jesus Christ.
